Hello.
My name is Dr Amy Harding, and I am a naturopathic medical doctor. From an early age, I have been deeply interested in both science and art. I spent my childhood going to science exhibits at the Macon Museum of Arts and Science, in Georgia, with my father - a former science teacher.
Encouraged by my mother, I also participated in a myriad of artistic developments such as writing, drawing, dance, and music. I believe this background was foundational in helping me attain a unique perspective within medicine, which is a belief in using both the right brain (intuition, creativity, artistry) as well as the left brain (science, logic, language) in treating my patients.
As a naturopathic physician, I am trained in seeking the true, or root, cause of disease. I have always been a lover of science and feel this is an outgrowth of my passionate curiosity in the world around us. I have been extensively trained in the three pillars of modern medicine - biochemistry, anatomy, and physiology - subjects I believe are unending in their ability to be relearned, deepened, and utilized.
In my medical practice, however, I seek to investigate any and all underlying causes of illness, including those that may be coming from the mental or emotional aspects of my patients. I also believe that all physicians, including medical doctors, have access to creative abilities through the right side of the brain.

This transforms medicine from an algorithmic, uniform, and impersonal science into a connective, holistic, and compassion-based art form.

I believe this is truly modern medicine.
